2021 RUSSELL’S BRIDGE VINEYARD SANGIOVESE

Crimson to ruby red in colour.
The aroma is heady with blackcurrant, jubey blackberries and wet earth. The palate is overtly up front with sweet and savoury nuance brimmed with red and black currant, truffles and toasty oak. This dry grown Sangiovese bares terrific concentration supported by puckering acidity, medium weight and a lingering savoury finish.

Planted in 2005 this small planting of Sangiovese is dry grown on Clyde Park’s Russell’s Bridge vineyard.
Enjoy it at once or over the coming five years at your favourite Italian restaurant. Think scampi with romesco sauce.
